Kenneth Douglas Woolsey is a Los Angeles-based artist, composer, and librettist. Composing music since 2020, his work spans a variety of genres including soundtracks, electronic and media works, choral works, and works for voice and piano.
His choral work, Famine and Harvest, was selected as a finalist in The American Prize in Composition for choral music in 2023. In 2021, his ambient work, The Depths Obscure the Light, was selected as part of the LABS collection, and his works Scratch and Tor are part of SOUNDIRON’s featured playlist for their product, Mimi Page Light & Shadow that same year. Several of his choral works including Famine and Harvest and The Lamb were performed by a Los Angeles chorale in 2022.
Additionally, Mr. Woolsey is a librettist and lyricist, producing both Stellar and Hammersmith, A Monodrama in 2023 for Seven Sisters Productions. He is currently working on several additional librettos for opera.
A multi-talented creative, Mr. Woolsey has over 20 years of game design and illustration experience. He has worked on hit games including Warhammer Age of Reckoning, WildStar, City of Heroes, Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, and God of War: Ragnarok. In 2015 he illustrated the beloved indie card game, Vye, the third edition of which was released in 2022.
Mr. Woolsey received his BFA from Cornish College of the Arts.
